At St Mary’s, we are committed to nurturing the growth of all students’ social and emotional well-being.
Through a positive behaviour framework, our students are provided with explicit teaching and learning that focuses on Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships. St Mary’s social and emotional curriculum is derived from the Victorian Curriculum and aims to enable students to understand themselves and others, and manage their relationships, lives, work and learning effectively. Such learning allows students to recognise and regulate emotions, develop empathy for others and understand relationships. Such learning experiences allow students to engage in positive relationships, work effectively in teams, and handle challenging situations respectfully.
